Reading this month - Psalm 138

Me Monday
Finally, summer is in full swing! Picnics, softball games, ligtning bus, and ice cream abound. Summer is a time where we step back and relax a bit, often realizing the things that are really important in life which is mostly getting to spend time with our family. If you haven't done so, take some time on Monday's to include mapping out some days to relax and get together with those you love this month. God will restore, refresh, and renew your spirit also when you spend time with Him. "For the Lord will fulfill his purpose for me." Psalm 138:8

Two Tuesday
We will probably never truly grasp how important our prayers are here on earth. Jesus lived a life of prayer, often moving away from the crowd and spending time alone with the Father and interceding for others. As we move to surround ourselves with those close to us this month, let us remember the power of prayer over their lives. If you haven't done so, keep a prayer journal and check off prayers that are answered as time goes along-it is a real tangible way to see God's hand is moving and working, even when we don't feel like anything is happening. Psalm 138:3 reminds us, "When I called, you answered me."

We Wednesday
Everyone dreams and makes plans for the future, and we as a collective group have dreams and goals that we seek to fulfill together. Psalm 138 reminds us that we should be mindful that God's hand will provide for us in every endeavor when He is at the center. Given that, we can move forward with bold assurance that He will supply all things for us as we in turn give Hime the praise and adoration He deserves. On Wednesday's this month, as we pray for our collective group, take time to thank Him for his provision over us. "I will bow down toward your holy temple, and will praise your name, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word." Psalm 138:2

Them Thursday
Summer is a time that many get out of their routine and try out new things. Given that, we will most likely see some new faces visiting through various programs like VBS and our summer camps. Keep your eye out for these and make them feel welcome. Maybe even invite someone to church you met at the ballpark. In the model of Jesus, He always had His eye out searching for the lost. On Thursday's this month, pray that the Lord would put someone in your path to invite to church, then see the hand of the Lord as He works! "Though the Lord is on high, he looks upon the lowly." Psalm 138:6

Friend Friday
You probably all receive the prayer update emails each day from the church office and pray for the families that are encountering difficulties. This month on Friday's try to make contact with someone on that list that you feel like you could encourage. Many of our ladies need our love and support, and just to know there are friends praying means more than we would ever know. Psalm 138:7 states God's promise of help through trials; "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life."
